Can I really drive the Jeep up Mauna Kea?

Yes — our Jeep Wranglers are the only rental vehicles authorized for the Mauna Kea summit road. We'll brief you on the rules at pickup. Most chain rentals strictly prohibit it (and will void your insurance if you go).

21 to rent most vehicles, 25 for the Jeep Wrangler and Mustang convertible. Under-25 drivers add a small daily fee. No surcharge for additional drivers on the same reservation.

Is insurance included?

Basic liability is included. We offer optional damage waivers, but most credit cards already cover rental car CDW — check with your card first to avoid double-paying.
